Good Of The People: My History

I have dedicated my career to public service, drawing on more than 30 years as a military officer serving during the Vietnam War, Cold War, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as over three decades working for the people of North Carolina as a state employee. My experience includes serving on the Wake County Board of Elections, the N.C. Board of Victim Compensation Commission, the City of Raleigh Board of Adjustment as Secretary, and the Wake County Board of Adjustment as Vice Chair. I hold advanced degrees in Public Administration and Criminal Justice, along with a B.A. in History and Government and an A.A.S. in Paralegal Technology. Throughout my career, I have focused on strengthening community systems, supporting education, addressing public safety needs, and collaborating with local stakeholders to meet the challenges of a growing county. My commitment to public service has been recognized with the state’s highest civilian honor, The Order of the Longleaf Pine.
